Course Description Transport Canada requires:
Minimum Flight Time	15 hours including the following
Dual Instrument Time	15 hours Full and Partial Panel and Unusual Attitudes
Ground School	Meteorology pertaining to VFR Over the Top

EXAMINATIONS AND FLIGHT TEST

No Transport Canada examinations or flight tests are required. An applicant for a VFR Over the Top rating shall have reached the level of skill specified in the Flight Instructor Standard.

PRIVILEGES OF RATING HOLDER

The VFR OTT Rating allows a pilot to operate an aircraft in day VFR Over The Top conditions: before take-off = day VFR requirements; on route = 5000 feet between cloud layers; destination weather = scattered or clear sky, ground visibility 5 SM, forecast to be one hour before arrival and two hours after ETA. Fuel reserves should be one-hour minimum. Any VFR OTT flight from Chilliwack must be authorized by a Principal Air flight instructor due to local terrain. The training time required for a VFR OTT Rating can be applied towards obtaining a Commercial Pilot License - Aeroplane.
